Welcome New Executive Director, Mike Getscher.
Before becoming our ExecDir, Mike was Executive VP and COO of the Pacific Battleship Center (USS IOWA) at the Port of Los Angeles in San Pedro, CA. His career includes several Director of Operations or General Manager positions in the energy business and a stint as Director of Facilities & Life Support for the Aquarium of the Pacific in Long Beach. His education includes studies in Mechanical Engineering and Diesel Mechanics and he holds a Bachelor of Science degree from Cal State University Long Beach.
His immediate goals at HNSA are to improve our communications at all levels, to build stronger relationships especially with the smaller ship fleet members, and to drink as much as he can from the fire hose of HNSA information to get up to speed as quickly as possible.
